I am a Computer Science and Math teacher at Poolesville High School in Poolesville, Maryland. PHS has been rated the number one high school in Maryland for two years now. Maryland has been rated the number one education state in the country for four years running.
This past school year, I taught three classes of Honors Algebra 2, plus two computer science classes. In the fall, I taught Analysis of Algorithms (the third semester of Java) and Writing Mobile Android Apps. In the spring, I taught Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Elements of Computer Systems.
Before becoming a teacher seven years ago, I was a software engineer. I worked for Bell Labs, Digitial Equipment Corporation, Mitre, GEJAC, The Wollongong Group, Datasage, and Vignette. I then worked for a very small non-profit called FARM.
